The Finance Project Streamlines Timesheet and Time Off Processes with Replicon’s Web TimeSheet

Calgary, AB (PRWEB) July 18, 2006 — Replicon, Inc., the corporate time and expense tracking vendor of choice for businesses, today announced that The Finance Project, a specialized non-profit consulting firm, has purchased and implemented Web TimeSheet and is already seeing the benefits of this innovative application in improving their time tracking and reporting processes.

Several employees at The Finance Project travel frequently. Prior to implementing Web TimeSheet, these employees recorded their time and expenses on paper, and then faxed or mailed this information to the office. Administrators then entered the data into spreadsheets and manually calculated time off balances and accruals. It soon became apparent to the team at The Finance Project that they needed a centralized and automated time tracking solution.

Terry Holthause, Director of Finance and Administration at The Finance Project in Washington, D.C., identified some time discrepancies and inaccuracies with their former system.

“We used to calculate leave balances manually in an Excel spreadsheet, which was time consuming and error prone,” said Holthause. “We also used to make our employees redo their timesheets because they were always forgetting holidays.”

Holthause explained that Replicon, Inc. was their vendor of choice because Web TimeSheet comprised all of the significant features they needed.

“It is more convenient for our employees to enter their time online … staff who travel frequently are able to submit their timesheets and leave requests remotely,” said Holthause. “When managers travel, they can approve them online.”

Submitting and approving timesheets in one centralized system “speeds up the entire process and enables the production of monthly financial statements more quickly,” said Holthause.

Since implementing Web TimeSheet, Holthause has recognized more time-saving benefits for administrators: they “no longer have to issue e-mail reminders because the system automatically does it,” said Holthause. She also points out that Web TimeSheet helps them efficiently administer time off balances and accruals while enabling employees to view their balances independently, no longer tying up administrators’ time on this task.

“The Finance Project is a premier example of the hundreds of rapidly growing organizations that are utilizing Web TimeSheet to automate their time and expense tracking processes, which in turn augments company growth and improves work flow across the enterprise,” said Raj Narayanaswamy, co-founder and co-CEO of Replicon, Inc. Web TimeSheet is a robust, web-based application that fulfills the operational needs of project-focused businesses worldwide.
