Calgary, Alberta, Canada, July 14, 2009 — Replicon, Inc. continues their trend as the most up-to-date and all-inclusive time tracking software solution on the market, with their release of Web TimeSheet 8.9.

The Web TimeSheet Project & Billing edition allows users to track time against projects, compare actual versus estimated project hours and compare expected revenue to the total cost of the project. The Web TimeSheet Time & Attendance edition allows companies to streamline their time and attendance processes, ensuring that all work time and time off is tracked accurately according to internal policies. Both editions can be used as stand alone applications, or as a single, integrated solution to address all time tracking requirements within an organization.

“As the established leader in web-based time management software, Replicon is committed to delivering flexible, easy-to-use solutions that evolve with an organization’s changing priorities,” said Raj Narayanaswamy, founder and CEO of Replicon, Inc. “Our latest release of Web TimeSheet 8.9 offers enhanced functionality to help customers streamline their time tracking processes and maximize results.”

Key new features and enhancements to Web TimeSheet 8.9 include:

Enhanced Substitute User Function

Timesheet entry and approvals are easy with substitute users – a feature that allows employees to set up a “proxy” who can log in and perform activities on their behalf. With a substitute in place, an employee can be out of the office without holding up the time collection process.

Web TimeSheet 8.9 has expanded this feature, allowing administrators to create and manage the substitute users for other employees. The administrator can define the level of access for each substitute, maintaining system security while ensuring that timesheet submissions and approvals are completed in a timely manner.

Enhanced Business Rules

A new option in Web TimeSheet’s Time & Attendance edition allows organizations to validate timesheet hours based on formulas. These validation rules can be used to ensure each timesheet contains the correct number of hours (based on minimums / maximums set by the company) prior to submission.

DCAA Auditing

The Web TimeSheet Time & Attendance edition now includes DCAA Auditing – a standard of tracking that ensures detailed audit trails for changes made to users’ timesheets. The DCAA option allows an organization to track all changes made to a timesheet, including comments explaining why the changes were made.

This feature was previously available only in the Web TimeSheet Project & Billing edition.
