Drag, Drop, Done! Scheduling Just Became That Much Easier

According to 3M, the corporation behind Post-it Notes, our brains process visuals 60,000 times faster than text. So, it’s no wonder companies pour resources into ensuring their software designs are sleek, modern, and eye-catching.

At Replicon, we’re no different. We understand the huge benefit of of using visuals that help our customers get their jobs done faster. This holds especially true for our scheduling feature.

Schedule managers are often dealing with several moving parts, constantly making changes to ensure proper coverage at all times. This can mean using trial and error- moving shifts until they ‘see’ a combination that works.

If scheduling isn’t done right, companies and their staff have to pay the high price of either staff shortages or over-staffing.

To avoid this problem, we have invested heavily in the visual and usability elements of our scheduling feature, allowing shift managers to match employees with the right shift easily and quickly.

Schedule managers will now be able to:

Drag and drop individual shifts from one employee and date to another, without having to first delete then recreate the entry
Drag and drop a pattern of shifts to a new location
Extend a shift or shift pattern vertically or horizontally to assign it to new users or days
Copy a pattern of shifts that includes a blank cell (e.g. a day with no shift assigned)
Remove a group of shifts in a single step
Zoom in and out, to get a broad view of the schedule, or a more granular view, as required
Filter employees by skill, so managers can quickly find the employees who have the right skills to work particular shifts

Whether it’s a last minute quick-fix, or a long-term plan, you can now manage resources easily and stay on top of your team’s schedules, keeping them happy and yourself worry-free.
