Customer Feature: Pulse Brands gains Replicon’s advanced configurability & real-time insights

A London-based consulting agency specializing in brand strategy and corporate communications, Pulse Brands helps companies identify their values and vision, and arms them with the right tools to communicate all of this to their audiences. With a variety of international and British clients, Pulse knows that the best solutions “go with the grain” of how their clients’ companies innately work, as opposed to forcing foreign or ill-fitting processes.

Pulse Brands naturally expects the same congruence and philosophical harmony from the solutions they employ internally, and the companies they choose to partner with — and Replicon was no exception. Ease of use, shared values, and a solution that enhances workflows instead of adding to them all played a significant role in Pulse’s choice to partner with Replicon.

Disparate data inputs complicate reporting process

Jacqueline Milton — one of the owners and directors of Pulse — recalls that, before implementing Replicon, their manual and non-uniform process of recording hours worked made it onerous to compile the information they needed to get to clients.

“Before, everyone used their own various time tracking devices,” says Milton, “Some used spreadsheets, some used pen and paper, some kept Word documents — so it was difficult to ensure data integrity, and consolidating all these different inputs took much longer than it should have.” She continues:

“We set out looking for a solution knowing we wanted a few things: We wanted everybody to be working in the same way with the same data inputs, we wanted a solution that was completely transparent — and thus enabled us to be completely transparent with our customers — and we wanted something that allowed us to look back at historical data as well as real-time info, so we would be able to go to one place and see everybody’s hours worked for an hour ago, a month ago, three years ago, and so on. We wanted that continuity and track record, and Replicon was our answer.”

Centralized, real-time information streamlines bizops and improves customer communication

With its clean, intuitive UI, the Replicon solution took little time to implement and blend into the day-to-day Pulse Brands workflow — quickly homogenizing hours worked data inputs from a variety of employees. With this consolidated data, Pulse can now access specific details to show inquiring clients exactly what work was done on which day, for how long, and by who. The solution’s mobile capabilities allow even traveling or remote employees to contribute to this data as well — further ensuring that any reports run truly reflect the entirety of their workforce.

From a business management point of view, Pulse has found significantly deeper insight into how efficiently the company is running, how productive and profitable they are, and how well they’re able to service clients. Milton pulls an easy, clear report each month to assess how well the company is running as a whole, and whether or not they’re meeting targets.

“I really appreciate the flexibility of Replicon’s reporting capabilities,” says Milton, “I can easily change parameters to suit my current needs — depending on which way I want to drill down into the data — and create a custom report. Our clients can be quite specific regarding what amount and what type of information they want to see from us, so we can now quickly adapt each report to suit individual client preferences.”
