Microsoft Project Integration Manager throws the following error message upon creating automatic update schedule. This error is seen when a user is setting up the automatic updates in Microsoft Project Integration Manager and does not have "Read" and "Write" permission for the folder  "C:\Programdata\Replicon\Integration Manager".

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit. the application will close immediately. Access to path "C:\Programdata\Replicon\Integration Manager for Microsoft Project\AutoUpdate.xml" is denied."

The system folder of the integration manager does not have sufficient permission in Windows. To grant additional privileges to the folder, follow the steps given below:

  • Go to C:\Programdata\Replicon.
  • Right-click on the folder Integration manager.
  • Select Properties and then the Security tab.
  • Add the user that is currently logged in and allow the Full Control permission.

Note: The folder C:\Programdata is a hidden folder, so ensure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled in the folder options.
