uk_group_meeting-big Replicon held its first UK User Group meeting on October 23, 2013 at the Hilton London Paddington Hotel. The event was well attended by several Replicon customers, including Charityshare Ltd., Gresham Computing, ITV Services Ltd., Overseas Development Institute C/O FD Systems, and Xoomworks.

The meeting started with attendees getting to know each other over a buffet lunch. Afterward, Adam Walker, vice president of EMEA at Replicon, made introductions and discussed his plans to support and grow the UK and EMEA customer community and markets. Participants then spoke about their professional roles, how they use Replicon solutions at their organizations, and what they hoped to learn during the get-together. Attendees came from a wide range of industries, and between them had a wealth of use cases with Replicon to share. For example, customers such as Overseas Development Institute spoke about using Replicon for expense management, and Xoomworks relies on it for project costing and client billing, to name just a few. Scott Bales, Replicon’s director of solutions engineering, spoke about the cloud-based platform’s latest innovations, and demonstrated some of the new features that were introduced based on customer feedback and requests

Scott noted that Replicon’s latest platform has advanced modern time tracking. It features an improved user interface that is based on who the user is, and his or her role in the organization. The latest technology improved the resource management and reporting capabilities, bolstered the built-in compliance-enforcement features, and dramatically increased visibility into business performance. The new platform also includes mobile applications for iPhone and Android devices, so that time tracking entries can be made on-the-go. During the Q&A, Scott and User Group members keenly discussed how the new and improved features could improve workforce utilization and compliance with labor regulations, while providing deep insight to help managers make timely and effective decisions to achieve success. Members also took the opportunity to suggest additional features and capabilities that they would like to see in upcoming Replicon solutions.

Following Scott’s presentation, Adam gave some closing remarks on the usability and robustness of the new release, including its built-in analytics, process automation, and enhanced integration capabilities. Adam noted that: “Our goal for this user group was to share valuable knowledge about tracking one of the most valuable enterprise assets there is: time. Replicon is in the cloud, which breaks down time-tracking data silos, and gives workers the ability to enter time on any device, at any time. We’ve removed the burdens of legacy timesheet tracking. Customers have an optimized and modernized process, they can remain compliant, and they can open doors to increased profits.”

The User Group concluded with customers confirming strong interest in continuing the UK User Group, followed by a lively mixer over drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
