Choosing how timesheets are pre-filled
This feature is available for timesheets based on the Configurable timesheet format.
You can choose if timesheets are pre-filled. To do this, enable timesheet population methods then assign them to a timesheet template.
Enabling timesheet population methods
To enable timesheet population methods:
- Go to Administration > Timesheets > Timesheet Population Methods.
- Click the Name of the population method you want to enable.
- Set the Status to Enabled.
- Click Save.
You can now assign a timesheet population method to your timesheet templates.
Assigning timesheet population methods
You can assign a timesheet population method in one of two ways:
- When the timesheet template is being created, assign a timesheet population method by selecting it from the Auto Fill Timesheet With drop-down.
- To add a timesheet population method to an existing timesheet template:
- Go to Administration > Timesheet Templates > Edit Timesheet Templates.
- Click the Name of the template.
- Select a timesheet population method from the Auto Fill Timesheet With drop-down.
- Click Save.

Previous Timesheet Including Time Data |
Copies the projects, tasks, activities, row-associated custom fields, time entries, and any custom field data from your previous timesheet. A rule-level parameter allows you to choose whether any existing entries are overwritten, or are added to. |
Previous Timesheet Excluding Time Data |
Copies the projects, tasks, activities, and row-associated custom fields from your previous timesheet |
Allocate Timesheet Hours |
Hours entered against projects, tasks, and activities will automatically be allocated in their time distribution grid, in chronological order. |
