Starting October 10th, 2017, the HR Tech Conference will soon be upon us, with thousands of forward-thinking HR professionals descending on Las Vegas to learn more on leveraging technology to “exceed employee expectations and succeed in business.

With three days worth of panels and events, attendees should plan out a few must-see events in advance to ensure they make the most of their HR Tech experience. For those attending this leading HR conference next week, we’ve highlighted some of the panels and events you’ll want to make time for:

Wednesday, October 11

11:00am — If We Build It, They Will Come: Building the Perfect TA Tech

President at HRU Technical Resources Tim Sackett facilitates an open discussion with three in-the-trenches talent acquisition leaders (from small, midsize, and enterprise level organizations) about the exact design and technology different companies are using to improve hiring. A TA tech “product agnostic” panel, this session is perfect for those looking to hear about a variety of technology and solutions used by companies of all sizes to optimize their talent acquisition.

3:30pm — Beyond the Stub: The Evolution of the Payroll Marketplace

Aptitude Research Partners Analyst Mollie Lombardi discusses how modern, strategic payroll has evolved from cutting paychecks at the lowest cost to a platform for employee communications and engagement, as well as a critical source of information for business leaders. This session will leave you with a deeper understanding of payroll in the modern, technology-based workplace.

Thursday, October 12

11:00am — Microsoft’s Extreme Recruiting Makeover

Thanks to tremendous organizational growth, Microsoft HR had to completely overhaul its homegrown HR practices in order to become a strategic asset for the company’s transformation and continue to compete for top tech talent. In this session, hear from Microsoft Corp. Director of HR Technology Saumil Gandhi and iCIMS Chief Customer Officer Adam Feigenbaum on the details of this HR makeover.

5:30pm — Time Intelligence®️ and Hal Elrod at Thomas Keller’s World-Renowned Bouchon

After Thursday’s official panels and speakers, join Replicon and best-selling author Hal Elrod for a complimentary dinner at Bouchon. Friday, October 13

9:30am — Culture vs. Compliance: How to Maintain a People-First Culture While Complying with Labor Laws

With an increase in more flexible, people-first initiatives like unlimited PTO and lengthy parental leave, compliance can get tricky. How can companies balance having a people-first culture while still complying with existing and ever-changing wage and hour regulations– especially with federal, state, and local laws sometimes contradicting one another? In this session, Trunk Club HRIS Specialist Andrew Anderson Devine, Facebook Payroll Director Priti Kung, Heluna Health HRO Tim Seifert, and Replicon CEO Raj Narayanaswamy discuss best practices to maintain a thriving, innovative culture while simultaneously abiding by labor laws, and leveraging modern HR technologies in support of these goals.
