We're updating our app's punch interface. This change is being rolled out slowly as we update each possible punch and timesheet combination to support the new interface. If the configuration you've been assigned hasn't been updated yet, you'll still see the old interface you've always seen. Be aware that one day when you update, you will start seeing the new interface.
This topic shows how to punch in and out for those still on the older interface. Procedures for using the new interface, along with FAQs and other information for punch users, can be found on the main topic – Punching in and out using Replicon Mobile.
To punch in:
If you're using Android, tap Clock In or Out on the main menu.
The rest of this procedure uses images from our iOS app. The Android app looks similar, but it isn't identical.
You can retake the image, if desired, by tapping Retake. Tap Use once you are satisfied with the picture.
The click will sound, and you will see a screen showing the result of your punch.
If rounding rules are in use, your punch may be automatically rounded to the nearest interval and the rounded time will be shown. (Your supervisor will have a record of the original, unrounded punch time.)
If you need to change the activity you’re working on during the day:
You will remain logged in, but your time will now be recorded against the new activity. An Out time will be automatically added to the In punch you created for the previous activity.
You may have a Break button. If this is the case, your administrator has defined one or more types of breaks you can take, and you’ll need to punch to record your break times.
To record a break:
When you are done your break, tap Punch In. You can choose a new activity to work on, if needed.
Even if you don’t have the Break button available, it is possible you still need to punch out and then in for unpaid breaks. Ask your supervisor if you’re not sure if or how you should record breaks.
Typically, you should only need to punch out at the end of your shift, since breaks and changes in type of activity are recorded using the Break and Transfer options.
To punch out:
You can view your punches, and changes that have been made to your punches, to ensure they were recorded correctly. If you find an error, report it to your supervisor as soon as you can – they may be able to correct it for you. Or, correct errors yourself, if you are able to.
A list of your punches for the current day displays, organized by activity and by type.
To view punches for a different day, tap a new date at the top of the screen. You can swipe left or right to view additional days.
All changes that have been made to your punches display, along with the punch activity and location for each punch, if applicable.
