Can I change the time zone used to display punch times?
Yes, you can change how time zones display when viewing punches, by altering your user settings.
Having punch times display in each employee’s local time zone can be useful if you supervise or approve punches for employees who work in different time zones than you; it can make it easier to compare actual punches to the user’s schedule or to edit missed punches.
To change how time zones display:
- Click User Settings or the icon located in the bottom, left-hand corner of the page, and click Settings.
- On the page that displays, click the Formatting tab.
- Select the desired option from the Display Punches In field. You can choose either My Time Zone or Employee’s Time Zone.
- If you select Employee’s Time Zone option, we recommend you set the Time Zone Format field to show time zones, to give the necessary context to punch times.
- Click Save.
This setting applies only to how punch times display; times in In/Out timesheets always display in the timesheet owner’s time zone.
