Summary:
There could be many reasons why a user could not find the Task that he is supposed to add to his Timesheet and enter time against it and this article discusses the various settings, the Web TimeSheet Administrator or the Project Leader/Project Manager can check to resolve the issue.
Resolution:
Check if the following are true,

  • Check if the user is added to the "Project Team". 
  • Check if the user is available in the "Allowed" list of the Project/Task -> Assignments. 
  • Check if the "Project/Task Status" is set to "Open" status. 
  • Check if the Project/Task "Time Entry Allowed" is checked off. 
  • Check if there is a "Time Entry Start Date" set, if the Start Date is set to a future date, change it to a past date or current date. 
  • Check if there is a "Time Entry End Date" set, if the End Date is set to a past date, change it to a future date or clear the date and leave the field empty.
  • Ensure that the Client drop down menu is set to 'All' 
  • Make sure to click the "Save" button after any changes made.
