Summary:
This issue mostly occurs when users do not have correct permissions assigned in Web TimeSheet or has disabled timesheet after logging in.

Resolution:
Following steps can be performed to enable the timesheet page to be displayed up on login.

  • Log into Web TimeSheet with the affected user credential.
  • Click on Settings link next to Logout button at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Uncheck the option Disable display of timesheet after logging in. (Please refer to the attached screenshot)
  • Click on Save.

Suitable permission needs to be provided for user to be able to access one or more tabs. Either new permissions can be assigned to user or existing permissions can be edited to grant the access.

To assign a user more permissions:

  • Log into Web TimeSheet with administrator rights.
  • Click on Administration tab.
  • Click on Users link under Shortcuts.
  • Double click on a User to whom permission needs to be assigned.
  • Click on the Access tab in the user profile.
  • Enable the relevant permissions for the user under Permissions: section.
  • Click on Save.

To edit a permission follow the below steps:

  • Log into Web TimeSheet with administrator rights.
  • Select the Administration icon from the top menu.
  • Click on Permissions under Users/Departments.
  • Click on a suitable permission to edit.
  • Click Save after editing the permission.

Note:
Editing a permission affects the functionality for all the users to whom the permission is assigned.
