In Web TimeSheet, you can define the total hours that you estimate will be incurred for the project. These estimates are used to calculate the project progress and the estimated vs. actual values in reports.

To enter the estimated hours for a project:

  • Log into Web TimeSheet.
  • Click on the 'Projects' icon on the top menu.
  • Click on the 'Edit' icon next to the project.
  • In the 'Project Structure' column, click on the Project name.
  • Enter the details in the 'Estimated Hours:' field.
  • Click on Save.

If your organization uses project/task roll-up, we recommend that you do not enter estimates at the project level. However, if you choose to do so, these estimates will be included in the rolled up values that appear on the 'Project Structure' page. In this case, it is recommend that you do not allow time entry at the parent task level.
