Summary:
Web TimeSheet helps organization that operates from multiple locations to track their employees availability at work. It shows the employees who are currently punched in and who has punched out of Web TimeSheet. This information can be viewed from the Timecard Dashboard. The dashboard will display current status of timecard users and when they last punched in or out. However, this feature is available only with Timecard.
The access to the dashboard is controlled through permissions and only users with the permission 'Use Timecard Dashboard' enabled can use the Dashboard. Usually, supervisors and administrator have access to this feature.

To view the Timecard Dashboard, follow the steps listed below:

  • Log in with an account that has the permission to view Timecard Dashboard and select Timecard from the top menu.
  • Select Timecard Dashboard from the side menu.

All timecard users are listed, along with their current status. If a user belongs to multiple departments, they are listed under each department. To narrow down the number of users shown, adjust the filter settings and select Apply.

The Timecard Dashboard has three filters namely, Users, Departments and Action.

  • The Users filter allows you to choose specific users for which the Dashboard needs to be run.
  • The Department filter allows you to display data for specific departments.
  • The Action filter allows you to select to view either the In time or the Out time or both. (Please note that the filter selections decide the data that would be displayed)
  • However, if hierarchy filtering is enabled, you will only see users in your own department and its sub-departments.

Note:
Timecard is different from timesheet and time entered in timecard is not transferred to the timesheet.
