You can enable a user to access all report data by enabling 'Can View All Report Data' option in users permission. This can be found in the 'Reports' tab while editing a

'Permission', this option once enabled allows a user to access all user data in reports, but this affects all the reports enabled in that permission and also affects users who have been assigned this permission.It is possible to have a user to see the data for all employees in the organization in only one report and restrict data visibility of all users from other reports.

Perform the following steps:

  • Log in to Web TimeSheet with administrative rights.
  • Click on 'Administration' on the top menu.
  • Click on 'Permissions' under the 'Users/Departments' category on the left hand menu.
  • Click on 'Add' on the Permissions page.
  • Provide a name and a description and click on 'Reports' tab.
  • Click on the (+) symbol next to 'Reports'
  • Enable 'Reporting functions' and 'Can View All Report Data'. Depending on what you want the user to see enable the appropriate permissions, for Eg: If you want the user to see the payroll details of employees, enable the 'Show payroll data' option.
  • Enable the report you want the user to be able to run for all employees.
  • Click on 'Save'.
  • Edit the users profile who will have access to this report, enable the newly created permission and click on 'Save'.

Note:
In case you want the user to see all report data for a set of reports, then add a new permission and enable those reports that you want him to access (along with 'Can view all report data' permission) and assign it to the user.
