How to add a Project in Web Resource?

To add a new project in Web Resource:

  • Select Add Project from the Projects menu. Alternatively, you can select List Projects from the Projects menu and select the Add button.
  • Enter a unique name for the project in the Project Name field.
  • Select the Project Leader from the drop-down list of resources with Project Leader status. Each project can be assigned only one project leader.
  • In the first Duration field, select a start date.
  • In the second Duration field, select an end date.
  • In the Description field, enter text to further explain the project.
  • Select the Enabled check box to make the project available for resource management.
  • Select the appropriate Project Type from the drop down menu.
  • Select whether the project will be billable or not from the 'Billing' drop down menu. This value can be used to filter projects for reporting purposes and in calendar views.
  • Select the status of the project from the Project Status drop down menu.
  • Select the Save button to save the project or select Save & Add More to save the project and begin creating another project. If you want to exit without saving the project, click the Cancel button.
  • If you selected the Save button, the project will be created and the Edit Project page will be displayed, allowing you to set up more advanced project information, including tasks, task assignments, and the project team.


You will require Project Leader or Administrator access in order to add projects into Web Resource.
