Project progress refers to how many hours have been completed as a fraction of the total estimated hours required.

Project or task progress can be monitored in three ways:

  • 1. Project leaders can view project and task progress bar graphs from the Project Structure page.

    • To access the Project Structure page:

      • a. Select Project from the top menu.
      • b. Select the Edit icon next to the project name.
      • c. In the Project Structure section of the page, click the Edit button in the upper right corner. The <Project Name> Project Structure page displays.
  • 2. Employees with 'Show task progress in timesheet' permission can view project and task progress bar graphs from their timesheets. These graphs appear to the right of each task row.
  • 3. Users assigned the appropriate report permissions can view numerical project progress data in Project reports, particularly the Project/Task Progress report.

Monitoring Project/Task Progress using Reports:
Most of the Project reports allow you to view estimated, actual and remaining hours for tasks and projects. You can view these values alone, or use them in custom column formulas.
The Project / Task Progress report is designed specifically for use in monitoring project progress. It allows you to view estimated, actual and remaining hours for tasks and projects, plus used and remaining hours (as a percentage of the hours estimate) for the project and/or task. This report is accessible to users with Reporting functions and Project / Task Progress report permissions.

Note:
Progress bar on the timesheet will only display if the employee:

  • Has selected projects or tasks in their timesheet for which the project leader has entered hours estimates.
  • Is assigned 'Show task progress in timesheet' permission.
