For each type of Time Off (sick time, vacation, jury duty, etc), you may be allowed to book the Time Off, or enter Time Off in your timesheet, or do both. 
Typically, you will be required to Book Time Off that requires pre-approval (for example, vacation time), while you would Enter/Add Time Off that does not require pre-approval (for example, sick time) directly in your Timesheet, by clicking the Add Time Off button on the Timesheet.
