I have changed the timesheet approval path for a user, but the timesheets are not going to the new approver.

Scenario:
When the timesheet approval path is changed for a user, only the timesheets saved after the change was made will reflect the new approval path. Timesheets that were already approved or waiting for approval will not reflect the new approval path.

Resolution:
In case timesheets that were already approved or waiting for approval need to follow the new approval path, they need to be re-opened.

Listed below are the instructions to re-open a timesheet:

  • Log into Web TimeSheet as an Administrator or as a user with administrative rights.
  • Click on Administration tab and choose Historical Timesheets? under Shortcuts.
  • Using the basic filter, select the specific or list of timesheets that need to follow the new approval path.
  • Click the reopen button. Select the new unsubmitted timesheets and resubmit them.
