The List Projects Page, shows the name of the Project Leader but when you edit the Project, the Project Leader field shows <None> and the Project Leader’s name is not shown in the drop down.


Hierarchy filtering is enabled in System preferences.
When Hierarchy filtering is enabled, users can only view, add, and edit users in their department and in their department's sub-departments. Even though User (Project Leader) has access to all the projects, he doesn’t belong to the department where the Project leader of that Project belongs to (Department-related limitations are in place as the Hierarchy filtering is enabled).


Assign the Project Leader’s department as the Additional Departments to the User (Project Leader) who has access to all the projects, he will be able to see Project Leader’s name in the Project Leader field.
