A newly created user in Web TimeSheet (WTS) would be able to log in and enter time in the timesheet for the date the user has been added to the WTS, and for future dates. However, the user cannot enter time for days prior to the date he was added to the WTS.
This can happen if the user's Start date is set to the date he was setup in the system or the date after he wants to enter time on the timesheet. Follow the steps below to change the users start date,

  • Log into Web TimeSheet with administrative rights.
  • Click on the Administration icon.
  • Click on Users on the left hand menu.
  • Edit the user who is unable to enter time for the previous day. (Click on the icon represented by a pencil with a notepad.)
  • Click on the Advanced tab.
  • Change the Start date to the date the user should begin entering time against.
  • Click on Save.

This issue can happen if the Timesheet period assigned to the users profile, has a start date, same as that of the date the user was added to the timesheet.
