Scenario:
Users are able to see only the Add Row button on the timesheet as apposed to what they normally see on the timesheet, the Add/Remove Tasks button.

Cause:
Either the Project & Billing Seat Assignment is not assigned to the user or the user's Permission profile is set to enter time on the timesheet without requiring a project to be selected.
 
Resolution:
To enable Project & Billing Seat Assignment, follow the steps given below:
  • Log into Web TimeSheet as the administrator.
  • Click the Administration icon at the top menu.
  • Select Users from the left pane, under the Users/Departments category.
  • Click the Edit button (represented by a notepad & pencil icon) next to the affected user's name or double-click on the user name.
  • Check off the checkbox next to the Project & Billing option in the Seat Assignments category, under the Access Tab of the Edit User page.
  • Click Save at the bottom.
To allow time entry against projects, follow the steps given below:
  • Log into Web TimeSheet as the administrator.
  • Select Permissions from the left pane, under the Users/Departments category.
  • Click the Edit button next to the permission profile that is assigned to the user, for example, the Non-Exempt Time & Time Off permission.
  • Expand the Timesheet category by clicking the '+' symbol next to it.
  • Click the drop-down next to Allow time to be entered and either select Both or Against projects.
  • Click Save at the bottom.
