If a Validation Rule is defined in the user’s profile then the user will be able to submit the timesheet only if the timesheet meets the condition defined in the validation rule but there is way to submit the timesheet even though it has not met the condition defined in the validation rule. However, it is possible to submit the timesheet which has not met the condition defined in the Validation rule from Historical Timesheets page provided Override Validation on Historical Timesheets (Submit) option is enabled under Administration section in the user’s permissions.

To enable Override Validation on Historical Timesheets (Submit) option, follow the steps given below:

  • Log on to Web TimeSheet with administrator privileges.
  • Click on Administration tab from the top menu.
  • Click on Permissions under Users/Departments at the side menu.
  • Edit the user’s permissions.
  • Select Override Validation on Historical Timesheets (Submit) option under Administration section under the System tab.
  • Click Save.
  • You may have to log out and log back into Web TimeSheet for the changes to take effect.

Note:
Validation Rules let you set the minimum/maximum number of hours that must be on an Employee’s timesheet in order for it to be considered valid. It is available in  TimeAttend Edition only.
