Some projects are missing after transferring them from Microsoft Project to Web TimeSheet

Find resources designed to help you get the most from Replicon

Applies To: Microsoft Project Server 2003

Only published projects are listed as being available for transfer from Project Server to Web TimeSheet. If you are using Project server 2003, any published projects that do not use the default Published version tag, such as non-English published projects, will not appear in this list. If you want to transfer these projects, you will have to change the version tag so that the Integration Manager will recognize that they are published.

To change the published marker, follow the steps given below:

  • Open the MSPServerStartup.exe.config file in a text editor, such as Notepad.
  • This file is typically located at C:\Program Files\Web TimeSheet\MS Project Server\Config Files\MSPServerStartup.exe.config.
  • Find the line of code that reads: <add key="ShowProjectVersion" value="Published" />
  • Replace Published with the default version value for your version of Project Server 2003, or the custom version value. For example, German speakers might update this to read: <add key="ShowProjectVersion" value="Veröffentlicht"/>  The ShowProjectVersion value used in Project Server 2003 is displayed on the Versions page (accessed by selecting Admin > Manage enterprise features).
  • Save the file.
  • Only one value for ShowProjectVersion can exist at a time.
  • If you define multiple values for ShowProjectVersion, only the first will be used.
  • Once you change this value, only projects that are marked with that value will be available for transfer.
