What does ‘Update Task Start Date’ mean while integrating Microsoft Project with Web TimeSheet?

Find resources designed to help you get the most from Replicon

When Update Task Start Date is enabled under Advanced Settings in Microsoft Project Integration Manager, it transfers the following details:

  • The project or task's Start Date field in project (located on the File >Properties > Contents tab) to or from.
  • The Time Entry Start Date field in Web TimeSheet.

If you are transferring a project from Web TimeSheet to Microsoft Project, start and end dates:

  • ARE updated, if it is the first transfer of that project. If you do not enable these options, the date of transfer will be transferred to these Project fields instead.
  • ARE NOT updated, if it is the second (or subsequent) transfer of that project.

Note: Not updating these fields in this direction prevents data conflicts.
