Summary:
Overtime hours or overtime amount cannot be directly integrated with QuickBooks since there is no supporting mapping available in the QuickBooks application. The overtime rule works around the pay code but there is no concept or usage of pay codes in QuickBooks hence making use of overtime feature in Web TimeSheet will be helpful to analyze the overtime hours and overtime amount within the Web TimeSheet application and cannot be used to integrate it with QuickBooks however, the report data on Regular Hours and Overtime Hours can then be exported to (.csv) file or (.xml) file and then be imported into other 3rd-party payroll softwares like Ceridian, PayChex etc.

Workaround:
  1. Create a Payroll Item in QuickBooks for overtime.
  2. Create a User Defined Field, of type 'Drop-down' in Web TimeSheet on the timesheet row level, with a drop-down item of the name similar to the payroll item created in QuickBooks, for overtime.
  3. Users will choose this drop-down item on their timesheet to record the overtime hours that exceed 7.5 hours or 8 hours for a daily overtime.
  4. Alternatively, create an Activity, in the name of the payroll item created in QuickBooks, for overtime and users will choose this drop-down this activity on their timesheet to record the overtime hours that exceed 7.5 or 8 hours for a daily overtime.
  5. Or, create a Project or Task, with the Project/Task name or Project/Task code or Project/Task description matching the name of the payroll item, created in QuickBooks, for overtime and users will choose this project/task on their timesheet to record the overtime hours that exceed 7.5 hours or 8 hours for a daily overtime.
Note: The user defined field drop-down item or project/task name, code, description or activity name should match the name of the payroll item, created in QuickBooks, for the overtime, so that the user defined field drop-down item or project/task name or code or activity name can then be mapped with the payroll item created in QuickBooks, for the overtime.
