When the ‘Task estimated hours’ transferred to MS project 2007 as ‘Task Work’, it seems to be OK until actual hours entered by the users against the task does not exceed the task estimated hours . It is getting altered when the actual hours entered by the users exceeds the task estimated hours.
Let’s say you have Task 1, Task 2, and Task 3 for a Project in Web TimeSheet.
Task Estimated hours assigned to Task 1, Task2 and Task3 are 10, 15, and 20.
Task Estimated hours transferred to MS Project seems to be OK until the actual hour entered by the users against the above mentioned tasks doesn’t exceed 10, 15 and 30.
It getting altered when the actual hours exceeds task estimated hours.
For example if actual hours entered by the users on Task 1 is 20 then the estimated hours also become 20 as actual hours for Task1 has exceeded the estimated hours.
This is how MS Project is been designed. It will display correct Task Estimated hours as long as actual hours entered against the task doesn’t exceed the estimated hours assigned to the task.
