There may be times where as an administrator you may need to enter time for other users previous timesheets which have not been generated. Since these timesheets are in the past, they are not created automatically. The user needs to click on the dates to generate the timesheet. At times you as an administrator will need to generate the timesheets on behalf of the users as well. You will need to setup yourself as the substitute user for the person you would like to fill in the timesheet for and then log in as the user and enter time. You can follow the steps below to generate the timesheet and enter time against it.

  • Log in as the Web TimeSheet administrator.
  • Select Administration icon at the top menu bar.
  • Select Users from the left panel options, under the Users & Departments category.
  • Pick a user or highlight a user from the List Users section which is to the right of the current page.
  • Click on the Edit User button adjacent to the user's name (represented by the icon of a paper & pencil) or the Edit button at the bottom.
  • Select the Advanced tab and scroll down a bit to view the Substitute Users category.
  • Click Add Substitute User button.
  • Click Done button once the substitute user is added.
  • Click Save.
  • Log out of Web TimeSheet and log back in.
  • Substitute log in as the user.
  • Click on the date you want to enter time for.
