Scenario:
Web TimeSheet administrator wants to allow user(s) without administrator permissions to change their own password and email address.

Resolution:
In order to give the user(s) the privilege of changing their own password and email address the permissions need to be enabled located in Settings in the permission assigned to them in their user profile. In order to this follow these steps.
  • Before making the changes in permissions located in Settings it is important to know what is the permission(s) assigned to the user(s) in their user profile. In order to do this you will need to follow these steps:
  • Log into the Web TimeSheet as an Administrator.
  • Click on the Administration icon.
  • Click on Users either in the Shortcuts section or in the Users/Departments section.
  • Then search for the user(s) profile by using the Search option available in the column on left side in the List Users page.
  • Click on the Edit User user icon next to the name of the user.
  • You will be able to find the permission(s) assigned to the user in the Permissions section located in the Access tab.
  • Make a note of the permission(s) assigned to the user.
  • After making a note of the permission(s), the permission(s) need to be edited and then the changes in the permissions in Settings need to be made. In order to this you will need to follow these steps:
  • Log into the Web TimeSheet as an Administrator.
  • Click on the Administration icon.
  • Then click on Permissions in the Users/Departments section.
  • Click on the Edit icon next to the name of the permission(s).
  • In the Edit Permissions screen and in the System tab expand Settings by clicking on the '+' sign.
  • Then put a check mark next to Change internal e-mail address, Change external e-mail address and Change password.
  • Click on Save.
