The data available to you while running report depends on, not only the filter settings, but whether hierarchy filtering is enabled and your permissions.

The following is a summary of how these settings will effect each report template or reports based on these templates:

  • Billing Summary, Expense Billing, Timesheet Billing, Project Expense Analysis, Project Expense Status Summary, Project Status, Project Status Summary, Task Status Summary, Project Time Analysis reports:Users can view data related to projects for which they are selected as Project Leader or, if their permissions include the View option for All Projects, they can view data related to all projects.

    • External Users can view data related to projects for their assigned client.
    • If the user’s permission includes the Can view all report data option and Hierarchy filtering is not enabled, the report can include data submitted by all users against the selected projects. With this permission option and hierarchy filtering enabled, the report can include data submitted by all users within their department or its sub-departments. 
  • Expense Sheet List, Timesheet List reports:

    • Users can view data for time or expenses submitted by themselves and by users they supervise.
    • If the user’s permissions include the Can View All Report Data option and hierarchy filtering is not enabled, the user can see data submitted by all other users as well. With this permission option and hierarchy filtering enabled, the user can see data submitted by all users within their department or its sub-departments.
    • Users can view data they approved or that is waiting for their approval.
    • If the user’s permission includes any of the Historical Timesheets or Historical Expenses options, the user can see all historical timesheets or expenses,respectively. 
  • License Seat Assignment, Permission reports:

    • Users can view data for all seat assignments, including the names of each user assigned a seat. 
  • Organizational Hierarchy, Organizational Hierarchy with User reports:

    • If hierarchy filtering is not enabled, a user can view data for all other users. If it is enabled, a user can view data for users within their department and its sub-departments. 
  • Project Task Assignments, Project Team Actual, Project Team Assigned, Project/Task Progress, Task Assignment Details reports:

    • Users can view data related to projects for which they are selected as Project Leader or, if their permissions include the View option for All Projects, they can view data related to all projects.
    • External Users can view data related to projects for their assigned client.
    • If the user’s permission includes the Can View All Report Data option, the user can see all of the available data in the report.
    • Users can view task assignments for themselves and the users they supervise.
    • Users can view data related to projects for which they are selected as Project Leader or, if their permissions include the View option for All Projects, they can view data related to all projects.
    • External Users can view data related to projects for their assigned client.
    • If the user’s permission includes the Can View All Report Data option, the user can see all of the available data in the report. 
  • Payroll Detail,User Holiday,User Profile,User Time Off,Time Off History,Timesheet Audit Trail,Expense Amount Summary,Expense Details,Timesheet Hours Details,Timesheet Hours Summary,Timesheet Status Details,Timesheet Status Summary,Timesheet User Hours Details,Timesheet Hours with Time Off Types,Time Off Details,Time Off Request Details,Time Off Summary,Timecard Hours Details,Timecard – Timesheet Comparison,Timecard Audit Trail reports:

    • Users can view data related to themselves and that of users they supervise.
    • If the user’s permission includes the Can View All Report Data option and hierarchy filtering is not enabled, the user can see data for all other users as well. With this permission option and hierarchy filtering enabled, the user can see data for all users within their department and its sub-departments. 
  • Report Schedule:

    • Users can view schedules created by themselves and users they supervise.
    • If the user’s permission includes the Can View All Report Data option, the user can see data for all schedules. 
  • Yearly Time Comparison:

    • If the user’s permission includes the Can View All Report Data option, the user can see time data submitted by all users. Otherwise, no data will be available.
