To allow users to record more than 24 hours on their timesheet, follow the steps given below:

  • Log into Web TimeSheet as an administrator.
  • Select the Administration tab from the top menu bar.
  • Select System Preferences from the left pane, under the System category.
  • In the System Preferences page, scroll down to the Timesheet Screen category, under the General tab.
  • Check off the Allow more than 24 hours per day in timesheet option.
  • Click Save at the bottom.

This feature is used in companies that provide an extended vacation during Christmas other than what is listed in the Holiday Calendar. For example, a company allows an extended vacation during Christmas (from 24th of December to 2nd of January) since the Holiday Calendar in Web TimeSheet has only 25th, 26th and 31st of December as holidays. The other days (23rd, 24th, 27th, 28th, 29th & 30th of December) will be provided to employees as paid holidays so the users need not add or book time off for these days, as it is not enabled. In-order to pay the users for those holidays, the users will be allowed to enter time for more that 24 hours in a day, mostly on the 23rd which will include the other work hours. Users will enter 40 hours (considering 8 hours per day) and since this time is entered in timesheet, the employees will get paid for it.
