Summary:
While launching QuickBooks Integration Manager, the following error is displayed and the program terminates automatically.

Process Request error = 80042505, QBXML components have not been installed

Cause:
Some of the installed files of QuickBooks Financial software are missing or damaged.

Resolution:
The recommended solution is to rename the .tlg files. If this does not resolve the issue QuickBooks has to be re-installed.

Rename QuickBooks' .tlg files and re-launch QuickBooks Integration manager.

To rename QuickBooks .TLG files follow the steps listed below:

  • Close QuickBooks.
  • Right-click the Windows Start button and choose Open Windows Explorer.
  • In the left window, navigate to the following location:

    • For Windows 7 and Vista: C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\Company Files\
    • For Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Intuit\QuickBooks\     
  • Look for files ending in .tlg.
  • Right-click each .tlg file and rename it to any random FILENAME.XYZ.
  • In Point of Sale, try the financial exchange again.

If the above mentioned steps does not fix the issue, Uninstall and Reinstall QuickBooks.
