Timesheet Software Leader, Replicon, Inc., Announces Web Schedule: Online Employee Scheduling Software

November 10, 2009 – Calgary, Alberta – Replicon Inc., the market leader in online timesheet software solutions, today announced the release of its latest schedule management product, Web Schedule. Web Schedule will extend Replicon’s suite of products – which includes Web TimeSheet Project & Billing, Web TimeSheet Time & Attendance, Web Expense, and Web Resource – to provide customers a means for creating and managing their employees’ work schedules online.

With Web Schedule, companies can create one-time or recurring work schedules, make on-the-fly adjustments, and track adherence from both a graphical calendar and the timesheet itself. Employees have access to their own schedules, as well, making it easy for them to stay on track. Web Schedule can be used as a standalone scheduling solution, or in tandem with other Replicon products to provide a single, seamless solution that meets a variety of time management needs. Like all of Replicon’s solutions, Web Schedule is available as Software as a Service (SaaS), so customers can benefit from instant deployment with no downloads and no installations.

“Our customers require easy-to-implement tools to manage their operations more effectively,” said Replicon Co-CEO, Raj Narayanaswamy. “With the addition of Web Schedule to Replicon’s product suite, our customers can manage their businesses more effectively – improving employee performance, and saving time and money.”

Key features of Web Schedule include:

Managerial Calendar View

Web Schedule offers a calendar view of employee schedules, empowering managers to track availability, make adjustments, and fill in gaps as needed. With the scheduling calendar, managers can see which employees are scheduled to work on any given day, week or month, in a single department or company-wide.

Schedule Templates

Templates make it easy to maintain standard, recurring schedules for individuals or departments. Templates can apply to any number of days, and can identify either the number of hours or the specific start and stop times for the employee’s work day. Including other attributes such as regularly scheduled activities (meetings, training) helps to ensure employees are entering their time to the appropriate categories.

Once a schedule template has been applied to a user or department, adjustments can be made to account for one-time exceptions such as employee absences or office closures.

My Schedule

Web Schedule provides employees with all the information they need to plan their time. A calendar view provides visibility into the assigned work schedule, including a clear comparison between actual hours and scheduled hours. Employees can then populate their timesheets with their assigned work schedules to ensure they stay on track.

Adherence Tracking

Adherence reporting makes it easy for both employees and managers to track discrepancies between the set schedule and the actual hours worked. Schedules can be set to track adherence to the total hours, start/stop times, or other schedule attributes such as activities, and then alert employees and approvers when the timesheet does not match the assigned schedule.

Adherence can be monitored from the timesheet view and the scheduling calendar. Additionally, a schedule report provides historical adherence information across multiple employees or departments.
