Replicon Gains Traction in Healthcare Sector as Companies Seek to Maximize Efficiency and Minimize Costs

According to a recent survey (1), reducing costs was among the top IT initiatives for healthcare companies in 2011. Replicon, the global leader in Web-based timesheet software, today announced significant momentum in the healthcare sector enabling companies such as Clinical Trials and Surveys Corp. (C-TASC) and Ockham to improve time tracking processes and streamline billing cycles, while simultaneously saving costs. With the rise of the remote workforce, healthcare companies welcome cloud-based solutions that not only enable employees to enter time regardless of their location but also allow them to bill clients quickly while also minimizing costs.

“Healthcare companies of all sizes are looking for solutions that streamline their operations, eliminating error-prone manual processes,” said Raj Narayanaswamy, Co-CEO at Replicon. “With Replicon, time tracking is easy and accessible from anywhere, allowing companies to track employee productivity in real-time, contributing directly to the bottom-line.”

C-TASC, a contract research organization that provides data management and analysis to healthcare companies, implemented Replicon to replace its cumbersome manual timesheet system and streamline its billing cycle.

“Before Replicon, we relied on a manual timesheet system which created problems with version-control that resulted in factual errors. In addition to operational challenges, the previous system slowed down billing because we had to wait until employees were physically in the office to complete their timesheets before billing clients. With Replicon’s cloud-based approach, employees can submit their timesheets remotely, allowing us to bill clients faster,” said Chris Donhauser, chief financial officer at C-TASC. “Another added bonus is the solution’s ease of use; employees no longer dread entering their time with Replicon.”

Ockham is a global oncology contract research organization that works with pharmaceutical and biotech companies to run clinical trials and test emerging pharmaceuticals for the treatment of cancer. In addition to clinical trials, Ockham has a staffing arm and places workers in the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries, making an easy-to-use time tracking process a critical need for the company. The company selected Replicon to streamline its time tracking processes and simplify the billing process.

“We place contractors around the globe and need to account for their time to bill clients. Because Replicon is cloud-based, it makes our time tracking process more streamlined, allowing us to easily manage employee and contractor time to generate real-time reports so a client can be billed in an efficient manner,” said Michael Enright, President of Ockham.
