Calgary-based Replicon Inc. has developed its Web-based Time Sheet applications to transform the way companies keep track of project costs, schedules and payrolls.
Co-founded in 1996 by president Raj Narayanaswamy and executive VP Lakshmi Raj, Replicon provides “work-force solutions” to such clients as Hewlett-Packard and Kraft. A true e-biz company, Replicon has clients in 23 countries on five continents, yet its staff have met just 1% of clients face-to-face.
Replicon’s revenues for 1999 were $841,705. The company ranks 14th on PROFIT’s list of Canada’s Hottest Startups with two-year growth of 1,578%.
Now Narayanaswamy has some new strategies to broaden his company’s appeal in the next few months. “We have a strategy for mobile users: they can fill out their time sheet using a cellphone,” he says. “[And eventually clients will be able to] rent the application over the Net instead of buying it.”
