We’re excited to share the latest updates in Deltek | Replicon’s Polaris PSA. Designed to help professional services organizations streamline project workflows, improve time tracking, and tighten financial control, the Q2 2025 release focuses on three key themes: customer-focused enhancements, smart cross-product support, and future-facing innovation.

These new capabilities build on Polaris PSA’s mission to simplify complex delivery operations, improve user experience, and drive smarter decisions at scale.

Let’s explore what’s new in Polaris PSA:

Customer-Driven Enhancements: Embedded Punches in My Work

Time tracking is now simpler for users on punch-based workflows. Polaris embeds Time Punches directly into the My Work section for users with punch timesheet templates—no more navigating to legacy pages.

Highlights:

  • A dedicated Time Punches tab is now visible in My Work
  • The desktop app download option is hidden for punch users, since it doesn’t support punch workflows
  • Task cards are removed for punch-only users to prevent confusion
  • Behavior adjusts based on timesheet templates—users with both punches and project tasks will see both tabs

Note: Punch entry is supported in the web UI and mobile apps. The experience is consistent with Gen 3 but now feels like a native Polaris feature.

Cross-Product Support: Project Mass Edit Gets a Major Upgrade

Admins can now perform bulk edits across projects in Polaris—bringing parity with Gen 3 and going further.

Perform bulk edits across projects in Polaris—bringing parity with Gen 3 and going further

Highlights:

  • Edit fields like Project Manager, Status, Client, Program, and Custom Fields
  • New in Polaris: Mass edit of project groups, a capability not available in Gen 3
  • A “Select All” option improves user experience by enabling one-click bulk selection per page
  • Aligned UX with other Polaris modules (e.g., drop-downs include “No Change” and “Clear Value” options)

Note: While edits are page-based (e.g., 50 projects per page), the experience is significantly faster and easier than legacy systems. For larger updates, data import remains available.

Smarter Financial Control: Introducing Cap Billing

Polaris will now offer the ability to enforce billing limits based on contract value.

Polaris will now offer the ability to enforce billing limits based on contract value

Highlights:

  • Users can enable a cap that blocks invoices from being issued if they exceed the project’s total contract value
  • Warnings appear in the bill plan if estimated billing surpasses the defined cap
  • A new comparison between billable vs. billed amounts highlights potential revenue leakage
  • The system blocks invoice issuance, not draft creation—giving teams time to resolve issues or renegotiate

Note: When multiple projects are invoiced together, a cap breach on any one project will block the entire invoice until resolved.
