Michelle Durpetti Events Improves Project Tracking and Invoicing Accuracy with Replicon’s Software-as-a-service (Saas)

San Francisco, CA, August 17, 2010 – Michelle Durpetti Events (MDE), a successful Chicago-based event management firm, has teamed up with Replicon, the global leader in web-based timesheet software, to bring a greater level of efficiency to project-related time tracking, customer billing and employee time-off management.

The firm uses Replicon's Web TimeSheet Project & Billing Edition, to track project costs in real-time, effectively manage employee’s billable time, and generate detailed reports in just seconds. In addition, MDE uses Replicon’s Time and Attendance Edition to track employee time-off and ensure policy compliance.

“Replicon has increased the ease and efficiency with which I do my job,” said Tiffany Crociani, Business Manager at MDE. “Having accurate records of employee time and expenses is vital to our business.”

Prior to using Replicon’s automated software solution, MDE employees tracked all projects manually. Busy employees tracked time in notebooks whenever they had a minute to spare. In addition, employees stored all project-related receipts in special binders. Managers had to sort through these notebooks and binders each time they wanted to process an invoice. It was impossible for MDE to see the progress of specific projects in real-time and to bill customers accurately.

MDE also implemented Replicon’s Web TimeSheet Time & Attendance Edition to better manage employee time off. They can now easily account for vacation days and create quick reports to see how much time off each employee has available. The integrated calendar also makes it much easier for individuals to coordinate their schedules. This gives MDE the ability to maintain proper levels of staffing at any particular time, ensuring they provide clients with the best event management services possible.

MDE implemented both Web TimeSheet editions in just one day, immediately providing the team with the ability to track employee activities more effectively. Crociani finds the advanced Web-based features particularly valuable. She set up automatic reminders to collect employee time data and MDE employees take full advantage of their ability to enter time and expenses online at any time, from any Web browser. The data is accessible to supervisors immediately, providing a real-time view of how projects are progressing and how much they are costing.

With greater visibility into projects, the company can reduce time spent on non-billable tasks and manage budget expectations for billable hours more effectively. “Highly efficient time management is critical for any services firm to be successful,” said Raj Narayanaswamy, Co-CEO of Replicon. “Web TimeSheet gives Michelle Durpetti Events the powerful time-tracking software it needs to streamline operations and keep projects on time and on budget.”

“I can now focus on other tasks and feel confident that employees will provide the information I need in a timely manner,” said Crociani.
