What's New in Web TimeSheet 6.5

The following new features are available in Web TimeSheet version 6.5:

  • Ability to set minimum/maximum hours for a timesheet
    Validation rules can set the minimum/maximum number of hours needed for a timesheet to be submitted.
  • Ability to save In-Out timesheets without duration
    The In-Out timesheet format has been modified to allow users to enter and save partial information in their timesheets. Users can now enter either an in or out time, without the duration, and save the unfinished timesheet for later revisions. This will also enhance the Stopwatch feature, allowing users to track their time more accurately, even if their login expires or they navigate away from the timesheet.
  • New colour scheme for Web TimeSheet
    You can now choose between three different appearances in Web TimeSheet - Classic Blue, Titanium, and new Atomic Tangerine. Selections can be made in the Systems Preferences area, and will be applied to the timesheet at the next log-in.

Permissions Removing substitute user permission restricts ability to configure substitute user list, but does not remove substitute users for user.
Projects Tasks within a project are displayed in the order they are defined within the project.
Project leader is not impacted when editing multiple projects.
ProMax Project status report shows all estimated hours and costs regardless of whether time has been entered against the project or task.
Reports
  • Time off record structure improved.
  • Pivot table timesheet reports accept start dates other than the start of a timesheet period.
  • Reports engine includes UDF Total field.
  • Timesheets with text UDFs will show each distinct text row in reports.
  • Filtering for approved historical Time Off requests improved.
  • Timesheet billing report in MSSQL now sorts by last name.
  • Values selected in report dropdowns now remembered after being collapsed.
  • Reports show task names for time entered against root level tasks.
  • Task progress report gathers totals for all tasks.
  • Correct datatype used for comments field.
Server Clarified behaviour in command prompt.
System Preferences No cache setting in HTTP header for reports controlled in system preferences
Tasks Timesheet will move tasks forward from the last entry through to the present, instead of relying on timesheets existing for the current period.
Template Previous template files will be copied into the backup folder to prevent unwanted duplication.
Time Off Changes to time off codes saved for new users.
Timesheet
  • All tasks copying forward to next timesheet period.
  • Improved performance by reducing the default number of allowed tasks in the dropdown fields.
  • Allows larger task name field in timesheet history.
  • Timesheet data copies faster using In-Out format.
  • In-Out timesheet now shows overtime hours for correct user in approvals.
