Upgrading to Web TimeSheet Version 5.8 SR2

Web TimeSheet is very dependant on the license keys. Before attempting an upgrade it is very important to make sure of the following:

  • Your maintenance program must be current
  • You must be running Web Timesheet 5.1 or higher

If either of these points is not true, performing an upgrade may leave your application in an unusable state.

To ensure a successful and safe upgrade, perform all the following steps in order :

  1. Check that your Maintenance Program is current for each of your modules.
    1. Login to Web TimeSheet as an administrator
    2. Click the Admin button.
    3. Click on About Web TimeSheet in the side menu.
    4. Click the License Keys tab.
    5. Look at the column called Build Period for each of your modules. Make sure you read the date from the Build Period column under the License Key tab. This date is different from the build date shown under the System Information tab.
    6. If the Build Period end date is February 14th, 2005 or earlier, do not proceed with the upgrade. Contact Replicon Support
    7. If the Build Period end date is February 15th, 2005 or later, proceed to Step 2
