Service Release 1 Release Notes

General

  • 3.x to 4.x Migrator - The migrator from Web TimeSheet 3.x to Web TimeSheet 4.x is now available.
  • 4.x to 4.x Migrator - The migrator from Web TimeSheet 4.x to Web TimeSheet 4.x is now available.
  • NT Login - NT login authentication integration is now available.
  • Access Upgrade - Performing upgrades on Access versions will no longer create a memory access error.
  • Macintosh - Outstanding issues with Internet Explorer have been resolved.
  • New Users - New users created automatically receive a welcome message with their password and directions to login to Web TimeSheet.
  • Access Database - The access database now compacts and repairs on a daily basis.
  • Date Format - Date field forms have been changed from numeric to alphanumeric only.

Administration

  • Date Format- Date format has been moved from system preferences to a user preference.
  • List Timesheets - The administrator can modify the list timesheet screen.
  • List Expenses - There is now a list expenses option for the administrator.
  • Admin Menu - The Admin left hand menu shows up in all instances in Netscape.

Timesheet

  • Un-submit - There is an un-submit function that allows user to un-submit his/her timesheet if it has not already been approved.
  • Copy From - A copy from function is available that allows user to automatically duplicate a timesheet from the previous week.
  • Adding Timesheet Row - When adding a row to the timesheet it will automatically default to the next billing item.
  • Billing Column - Can disable this option in User Permissions so that it does not appear in the timesheet screen.
  • Adding Task - Adding an additional timesheet row no longer causes a CGI error in certain circumstances.
  • Substitute Users - Substitute users can now receive e-mail notifications if given the appropriate permission.

Projects

  • Roles - When roles are created prior to setting up a project, the roles are no longer automatically associated with the newly created project.
  • Copy From - Copy from function now moving all aspects of the copied project.
  • Client name - The client name can now be added to the task pathname.
  • Project Leaders - The Project Leaders filter now shows all project leaders in the system.

Approvals

  • Sequencing - Project leader and client approval sequences work in order in all scenarios, when they are associated with two or more projects.

Reports

  • ProMax - ProMax is now available as an add-on executive reporting module for Web TimeSheet.
  • User Defined Fields - User defined fields have been added to the reports selection option.
  • Project Status - Date range has been added to the report.
  • Report performance - Reporting performance has been substantially enhanced.
  • Raw data reports - Raw data reports are available for Projects and Timesheets.
  • Late Timesheet Submissions - Late timesheets now show up in all relevant timesheet reports.
  • Hierarchy Levels - All hierarchy levels show up in reports whether time has been booked against them or not.
  • Timesheet Period - Timesheet periods have been added as a selection item in all reports.

Expenses

  • Expense mileage - Mileage rate is now accurate to three decimal places.
  • Projects - Projects are listed in alphabetical order in the expense drop down menu.
  • Permissions - Users can now add expenses to "no project".

Journals

  • Journals - Journals are now a permission item within the system configuration.
