ALLSTATE INSURANCE

The Allstate Insurance Company of Canada is a member of one of the largest insurance organizations in the world, The Allstate Corporation. Allstate Canada has provided property and casualty insurance products to Canadians since 1953.

As a Fortune 100 company, Allstate sells full lines of insurance, including auto, property, life and commercial. Allstate also offers retirement and investment products and banking services. Allstate is widely known through its "You're In Good Hands with Allstate" slogan.

With its notable portfolio and expanding workforce, Allstate was seeking an enterprise resource planning and forecasting solution. Project managers wanted a product suite that helps them define resources to projects and find out who is over and under allocated.

"We were looking for a method to better track time spent on projects in progress and to centralize the information and reporting function," explained Murali Gnanasekeram, Allstate Project Lead. "Today, there is no ability for two project managers to manage components of a single project [at the same time]. We also do not have the ability to merge project information."

Web TimeSheet and Web Resource provided Allstate with the right solutions. Both products exhibit a simple, intuitive interface that is easy to use ensuring total employee adoptability. Web Timesheet offered an automated time and expense management system enabling the Allstate team to fully understand work flow, assignments and tasks. Managers can now coordinate a single project simultaneously and successfully. Fixed integration between the two products enables Allstate employees to easily transfer data and, most importantly, increase productivity by abolishing all error-prone manual paper trails and excel spreadsheets.

Since the deployment of Web TimeSheet and Web Resource, Mr. Gnanasekeram reported immediate results. The features he finds most useful are the "ease of navigation and inputting functions like global editing and copying." Mr. Gnanasekeram also emphasized that the security and permission setup are "excellent" and that the reporting capabilities "will be a great asset."
