Need to work? There’s an app for that. Today, there are millions of business applications aimed at helping people do their job more effectively, and support the unique requirements of every business. But finding the right app can be a bewildering process.

At Replicon, we’re pleased to be an Apple mobility partner, part of an exclusive ecosystem of enterprise technology vendors that work directly with Apple to accelerate iOS adoption for businesses and make sure all apps are compatible with each other. Our mobile app is also available for Android users to capture time and expense-related information in seconds, to ensure data is accurate, streamline payroll processing, and support productivity and profitability requirements.

To celebrate the holiday season, our senior vice president of products, Joanne Jacobs, was recently interviewed on the AirWatch Blog “Appy Holidays” feature series. As an Airwatch App Configuration for Enterprise (ACE) partner, we discussed how we help businesses overcome complexity by building solutions that support mobility and productivity and how we’re continuing to drive the mobile enterprise forward. The full interview can be read here.

Here are the five key points from that discussion.

1. Replicon’s mobile application simplifies how people can capture time and expenses while on the go.

Whether the person is an employee uploading their expense receipts away from the office, a supervisor approving time off, or an executive wanting to understand organization-wide efficiencies, we provide a single platform to access this vital information.

2. Capturing time and expense data is not confined to a specific business use case or industry.

Time is a function across every business that, if harnessed effectively, will provide tangible benefits in improved productivity, increased profitability and wage and hour compliance. Our app is used by thousands of businesses across the globe, who each have unique objectives, a range of employee categories, and sit across every industry. One example is our work with customer Ropes Courses, who has achieved quicker time-to-reimbursement via our mobile upload capabilities, and has eliminated “buddy punching” and time theft using our CloudClock offering.

3. A mobile-first strategy is critical for every business.

Being mobile is all about making the most out of your time, and we think that time is the starting point of optimization in every business. Going into 2016, a significant portion of the enterprise software landscape will be focusing on mobile devices as their primary interface. Vendors that aren’t mobile oriented will be subject to a lot of disruption as every industry will need to consider how they will deliver a ubiquitous and more personalized experience to the end user.

4. We see significant changes shaping around today’s workforce and global labor regulations.

As more smart devices are adopted in the enterprise, and as the way people work continues to evolve (particularly with the rise of the on-demand economy), we see enterprise technology vendors capitalizing on technologies like the Internet of Things (Iot) and building software on top that will support the future workforce. Companies need to be cognizant at the same time of how technologies can support a more diversified workforce, while staying compliant to to the latest wage and hour obligations.

5. The biggest complaint people have today is that they don’t have enough time.

If you scale this problem to the corporate level, an organization with 1,000 employees has over two million hours at its disposal. So being able to take advantage of our mobile capabilities manifests itself into multiple benefits for the end user. Whether it’s gaining more insights into the sales pipeline to improve resource allocation, integrating employee’s hours and expenses to process payroll faster, or looking at the data to create better business forecasts, we help our customers use this data to drive further improvements across all facets of the organization.
