Software Magazine ranks Replicon as one of the world's largest software companies.
Calgary, AB (PRWEB) October 11, 2006 - Replicon, Inc., the corporate web-based timesheet tracking vendor of choice for businesses, today announced its inclusion on the Software 500, Software Magazine's list of the world's foremost software and services providers, published as an online catalog on www.Softwaremag.com.
This year, Replicon was ranked in the Top 10 Leaders in Software/Services Revenue Growth below $30 million with a 73 percent growth from 2004 to 2005. Receiving this award for the third year in a row reasserts Replicon's profound growth and success in the software industry. Today, Replicon's products serve more than 5,200 customers in over 55 countries worldwide, a 48 percent increase from 2005.
"Replicon's consistent growth over the past five years continues to ensure its placement on the Software 500 listing of the world's largest software companies," says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. "The Software 500 is intended to help CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research to create the short list of business partners. It is a quick reference of vendor viability. That is content of value."
Desmond notes that this year's results show that growth in the software and services industry was flat from 2004 to 2005, the ranking year. The industry continues to be dynamic with more than 90 new companies on the list and this year's strong segments include security and system integration services. According to Desmond, while much of the growth is coming from outside the U.S. in the services segment, the flattening world effect is sending some of it back also.
