Ernex had an internal solution for tracking time which, not being very original, we called "Time Tracker". It was however limited in it's application, not very flexible, and required a lot of effort both to use and to maintain. We needed a new solution and recognized that the best approach and the least expensive in the long run would be to go outside our company. An established product that was seasoned with the input of a number of user companies, had evolved into a stable system, and had withstood the test of time and a large number of people using it daily.

We looked at several industry leaders, while the software that we examined were all good products Replicon's Web TimeSheet had the advantages of one of the richest feature sets, one of the lowest prices (a modular pricing structure -- you don't have to pay for features you don't need, but you can always add them later if you want to), good Customer Support (as attested to by their references), and an attractive, easy-to-use interface. Couple that with the ability to be Access, SQL, or Oracle-based, and the capability to migrate databases for growth, expand licenses and/or features on-the-fly in a working system, and you get (what might seem trite to say, but is borne out by the experience of using their system) a "State-of-the-Art" Time and Expense Tracking application, accommodating but not requiring full project management processes.

Implementing the software was a simple matter of following Replicon's easy-to-use Installation Guide. We encountered no "hitches" in the process, which speaks well to their thorough and understandable documentation. Loading our Clients, Projects, Department structure, Employee info, etc. was also very straightforward.

As we began to use the system and customizing reports for our particular needs (a nice strength of Web TimeSheet!), we had several cases of "How do I ... " & "Do you think I could..." Replicon's Customer support was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and responsive in clarifying ways to do things, and even suggesting things we had not thought of.

Filling out time reports is not anyone's favorite activity, yet our employees rave about this software. Manager's like the reporting flexibility, and the automatic e-mail reminders to employees about late timesheets, and to managers about timesheets due for approval. Our Finance department can now prepare bills and do other analyses much quicker and easier than before.

You might say that we are all "happy campers". I have not heard one dissenting voice about the new Time and Expense management system. Would we buy this software again? In a moment! It is a good value and a quality product. Now we can free up our internal resources that used to support our old "Time Tracker" for more productive activities.
